The style is called Corporate Memphis. I think it was originally used by tech companies but (self-identifying) progressive groups seem to have taken a liking to it. I hate it!!!
Not sure I agree with calling this DEI art. I've always considered this a "Corporate Safe" style. It's meant to be as non offensive as possible, as culturally safe as possible by not really borrowing from any specific cultural style and as bland and tasteless as possible. It tries to represent so much that it represents nothing at all. In any culture that lives on edge in terms of "cancellation", a fear of confrontation and a leaning towards appeasement, a safe style like this would naturally develop.
Thanks Jim for laying this out. i have noticed the different artwork but basically ignored it. Your calling attention to it now makes so much sense! amazing.
I don’t think I can ignore any of this crazy art work anymore.
I’m a sitting model for a painting school, sometimes, and they sketch/paint me. Even me being sketched with only lines looks far better than some of the artwork you have brought to us.
I don’t really like the way that Picasso has painted disjointed faces. It makes me sick. I’ve tried to like it, but I find it horrible the way he splits the beauty of the human being into abstract.
Yes! You are right about the big bodies and pin heads.. It really is disgusting. I’ve known about this but reading your wonderful article makes me realise how much I dislike this junk art. It is almost like they want to be modern and somehow inclusive or androgynous and they use colour to suck people in with the blank faces.
European Women’s Lobby
They say: We work towards a Feminist Europe, in which all women and girls enjoy equal rights and participation across all levels of society.
So there is nothing about men in that statement and yet they have a male figure, he has a blue beard, standing in the middle of the two ‘women’. Are they really women or someone who identifies as a woman? See how the very thing that feminists hate, being put into roles and yet, at least one, looks very much like a stereotypical woman.
So does it mean, that because there is a man in the middle that these so called ‘We represent an inclusive, fearless, loud, independent feminist voice.’ Are actually admitting they need men?
Non-Binary 450 people [they could all be biological women???]
Then we go to Gender Pay Gap. Apparently the Gender Pay Gap got worse during 2024. But I don’t understand, NSW is a Labor Government. So while they push Gender Pay Gap, they themselves are creating this!!!!
I stop there. I feel like I want to vomit now.
Women’s Health Grampians
They are missing body parts, as you say. No necks..
I’ve run out of steam to say anymore. I want to scream now, after I’ve vomited.
Thank you James for such a revealing article.. of showing us how images can dehumanise, not only men, but women.
Edit: I searched for European Men’s Lobby and found nothing…
I actually asked the EU Europe Direct Contact Centre a question, after my comment above.
I asked:
I found this page: https://womenlobby.org and I am wondering where the mens lobby page is?
I hope to here have access to this page as I wish to discuss the increase in men who commit suicide.
Thank you.

Thank you for contacting the Europe Direct Contact Centre and sharing your thoughts with us. We value hearing from citizens and understanding their views.
Our role is to provide general information about the EU. While we cannot comment on personal opinions or engage in policy discussions, we’re happy to offer helpful information on EU-related topics.
Here is some information related to the topics you mentioned:
This kind of degenerate art is perfect for those 'artists' without a shred of artistic talent or aesthetic appreciation. AI is great at churning out this kind of excrement because is shares the same qualities as the original artists.
I noticed this corporate art style 5 or 6 years ago on the Apple App Store, and I thought it was ugly, but it kind of reminded me of some stuff I’ve seen from the 60s and 70s, but I haven’t really seen it outside those corporate areas (and those institutions that you mentioned, which are similarly cultured), so I don’t think it’s catching on.
And of course the Apple app store (the same as all other corporate crap) pushes DEI constantly. Want to buy apps made by indigenous Pacific Islanders? They have a section for that a month out of the year. Why that matters? I don’t know, but it made me realize most of the stuff I use was made by white guys, so illl just stick with them I guess.
I’ll have to keep my eye out to see if I can find it in less tech/corporate areas.
I must say, I do like this art style 😂 I very much appreciated abstract art since I was introduced to it since primary school. However, the criticism of it is valid. I enjoy seeing different perspectives that actually make sense...
Excellent analysis. Thank you James.

AND why are they funded by the European Union?
Check out their image on this page: https://womenlobby.org/women-in-climate/
New South Wales Government
https://www.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/noindex/2025-03/workforce-profile-report-2024.pdf
After the image they have the ‘acknowledgement of Country’ words.
BUT, for me, none of the people in their image looks like an aborigine!!!!
So they push one thing while not including a traditional image of an Aborigine from Australia?
On page ten of https://www.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/noindex/2025-03/workforce-profile-report-2024.pdf 3 - Leaders, are they doing a Nazi salute? Certainly looks like they are to me!
Then we get to their Gender Page 24. It states:
Women 66.6%
Men 33.3%
Non-Binary 450 people [they could all be biological women???]

If you’d like to get involved in shaping European policies, there are several ways to participate. You can
• Take part in public consultations.
• Join citizens’ panels.
• Participate in debates.
• Launch a citizens’ initiative or submit a petition.
• Engage via social media.
Explore more ways to get involved here: https://commission.europa.eu/get-involved_en
If, at any time, you have any questions about the European Union, its activities or its institutions, we will be happy to assist you.
So I take it they do not have a European Men's Lobby website, etc.
As we all know, this is sexism against Males.

And of course there is "DEI Visual Art".
Yer, feminisation and masculinity is not embraced. Sad
